Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

#1 Gift, Administration (56%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like the feeling of being organized. I’d love to be more educated in this. Also regarding the lead of a group of people, especially with projects. I wished to be able to help in organizing and doing a project that matters.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (50%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
People are beautiful, but everyone is struggeling with his or her personal things, fears, lifes. To see a person being uplifted through kind words, a short talk, a helping hand is an amazing feeling. It is not about me being a super nice helpful person. The feeling I have inside when my words and help supported someone just tells me that this is the right thing. People are not made to be alone. We cannot fight alone. We need each other. In a society which gets colder and more distant from another we despirately need more love, caring, fellowship.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (46%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I cannot describe why I am like this. But I feel with people, especially when I get to know them closely. And then I am touched when I hear that they are not doing well, when something happened or when they are happy and cheerful.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. To do something that makes a difference. It does not matter how big (I mean the bigger the better). If a single person could have been helped, then it is worth it.

2. I love to have an order to things. That bring me inner joy. Fulfillment that I achieved something.

3. To work with people, to teach them, to go alongside them, to see them grow – personally, mentally, spiritually, in their talents, in their relationships. And to see a better outcome because I could have a positive influence on them.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Difficult to say as I worked with many different ages and people. I like to mentor young people and see them grow. I sometimes have difficulties working with people who are older than I am.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I don’t like when people are to focused on the Church, on the ministries within a specific Church or about the reputation of someone’s ministry. It is about building God’s Kingdom. Being used by him, serving others. The Church itself is important for fellowship, teaching, worship. But it is not all about Church or religion. It is about God’s love to us.
I don’t like it when the Church loses its focus on that.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

#1 Gift, Administration (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
If administration means inspiring people and organising people to join a cause or be better versions of themselves, then yes I feel I have this gifting. But if means being good at booking keeping and paperwork and should be stuck behind a desk then I highly disagree with this result!

#2 Gift, Teaching (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like to reveal truth and help people to see and understand life from God’s perspective. As an ex-school teacher this is a part of who I am. And I feel my life’s purpose is to inspire people to reach their God given potential.

#3 Gift, Giving (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like to bless people, make them feel valued and worthy, and to make their lives a little brighter.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Create things – especially things that will brighten and enliven an environment or atmosphere.

2. Encourage people

People who want to learn or are committed to helping – its about attitude really. I often see this more in youth than adults – but whoever is committed a keen I’ll gladly work with them anytime.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Creative, colourful, fun, family focused events, business encouraging things and anything that encourages vibrant God- living excites me. Anything that oozes negativity, apathy, and down-in-the-dumps, defeatist living not just concerns me it annoys me.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in an awesome Christian home, saw the reality and power of God from a young age. Gave my heart to Jesus when I was 4 years old and never looked back.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Dargaville Christian Fellowship/The Lighthouse Church – Dargaville, NZ – Children’s Church teacher, Youth Pastor, Worship Leader, Event Co-ordinator & Stylist – 5-6 years then moved away to teachers college, 4-5 years then went on the mission field , 4years then moved to Auckland to get married.

City Church Waitakere – West Auckland, NZ – Youth Pastor/Leader, Worship leader, Creative Ministries Director – Event Creation, Co-ordination, Styling and Managing Sunday Morning Services. – about 9 years.

Inspire Church – Albany, NZ – Hospitality Ministry Leader and Helper, Children Church teacher, helped with various events in décor & catering. 4 years.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

As a child our family was involved in planting two churches. Us kids were considered part of the team not just the ones play out the back.

Marrying my awesome husband – Bruce and giving birth to my awesome son – Ethan.

Giving birth to my awesome son – Ethan

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Going through a Christian teachers college and the mess and struggle that was. This taught me perseverance among other things.

Going through burnout while being in church leadership and how the Senior Pastor and elders handled it so very poorly. This experience taught me to seek good help from healthy and Godly places. It is what make me want to care for other especially those in positions of leadership.

Being indecently assaulted as a child by a man boarding with our family. He came close to death when my Dad found out – that experience is how I know the father heart of God (yes that requires further explanation but that’s for another time). I also believe that this experience is the foundation for what rises up with in me when I see people being abused and mistreated.

#1 Gift, Teaching (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I absolutely love the word!! I love to study it! I love to read it! I love to meditate on it and I love to share its truths with others! To read the Bible is God’s love letter to us and what better way to know Jesus than to continually read that love letter and apply it to our lives. Makes me fall more and more in love with Him!

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to help people who are down-and-out for any reason realize how much they are loved by God. I love to help them realize that no matter what they’ve done that God will forgive them and love them and it is only through Christ and His Word that we can live in this world. Christ and Christ alone – through the power of the Holy Spirit – gives us the strength, support and ability to cope until we are with Him forever. I just love to love people. I myself have lived a rough life so through my experiences I know I can touch others, open their heart and make them realize that love of Jesus is absolutely the most wonderful love of all!

#3 Gift, Evangelism (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Simply put, I want others to know the love of Christ and that it is only through Christ and Christ Alone that we will be able to live forever. Sin entered the world through Adam and it is only through the death of Christ on the cross and His blood that we will have eternity. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. My heart cries when I think of people rejecting Christ. We are talking about eternity here and to live forever and ever without Christ is completely unthinkable!

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. 1. Teaching and discussing Scripture with others. I love leading Bible studies and getting people to think deeper about the Lord, the Bible and how to apply it to their lives. I love helping people realize that the only way they truly will be happy in this life is to love and obey. I love to courage people to want what the Lord wants in their lives as that is the only way to feel feel fulfilled to have the joy and peace that passes understanding which is what people most desperately want.

2. Meditating and praying while gardening. I get lost while digging in the dirt thinking about the Lord, talking to Him, praising Him and listening to hymns. This is my alone time – just me and my Jesus.

3. Being hospitable to others while serving them in my home or going to them and spending time with them in their home, nursing home, or whatever setting. I love making people feel loved.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

people who are thirsty for the Word… realizing that it is Christ, knowing and applying His Word – even when they don’t feel like it – that will grow their fait h, trust and love for Jesus.. From teenagers up to any age..

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Very rough background and family life… spent alot of time with an older woman who showed me in the Bible, (not her opinion), but what the Word said on what Jesus meant to her after questioning her relentlessly. I also saw the change in my parents and the peace that overcame them and wanted that for myself.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I grew up a Methodist, was saved in the Church of Christ, then went to a Nazarene Church, then a Baptist Church (where I attended many Bible studies). I also was trained to become a Precepts leader (Kay Arthur), and I also attended some Seminary classes at Wake Forest seminary in North Carolina. I taught Precepts for several years at Colonial Baptist Church in Cary North Carolina (1989 -1995). I then moved to Columbus Ohio in 1996 and attended Vineyard Columbus, (a very large church of about 9000) for many years. It was there that I went through training and became a Grief Share counselor and also spent several years studying to become a Lay counselor and I also started and taught many neighborhood Outreach Bible studies.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Although difficult, not always positive, but definitely had an influence on me is that I was in the military during the end of Vietnam War. I was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone and worked with the GI’s returning from Vietnam. I was trained as a German linguist and was part of the Army Security Agency. But working with the crushed men that returned from the war, grew my heart and filled it with compassion like nothing else ever has

I was the only The Ohio State Fraternity house mother for a large business fraternity (Phi Kappa PSI) for 4 years. I worked with the guys at the fraternity teaching them life lessons and how to cope, social graces, dress for success classes and etiquette. It definitely was a hoot and very rewarding! This meant a lot because my highest claim to fame and most positive experience is that I have raised two super wonderful boys and now have grandchildren.

I have been blessed to have travel the world. I’ve been all throughout the Far East, Indonesia, Japan, China, in addition to much of Europe – including England, France Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Turkey. Also throughout South America and Central America including Panama where I was stationed in the military.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I was married for almost 30 years to a nonbeliever who was also a passive- aggressive, emotionally abusive narcissist. It ended in horrible, long, expensive divorce which devastated the family and broke up my heart.

While I was living in Panama I (unknowingly) was involved in a drug ring.
During this time I also had horrible abortion.

After my divorce, financially and emotionally I was absolutely frightened as to how I was going to make it. Friends and the Baptist Church I was attending totally rejected me. Through the grace of God, a wonderful Christian Financial CPA helped direct me and got me back on my feet. I also grew closer to the Lord than I ever thought possible as I had to depend upon Him and not other people. Jesus melded my head knowledge with heart knowledge… He carried me through the darkest time of my life. I wouldn’t want to ever go through it again but I am so blessed to have gone through it.
