1. Leading others in worship. Just to have the opportunity to lead others in something so intimate such as their relationship with Christ, is extremely humbling and brings me joy.

2. I love to teach. Whether its coaching middle schoolers in soccer or others how to have responsibility, I just love being a part of their journey and seeing them develop into better players or people because of it.

3. I love to make other people happy, whatever it takes. Whether its serving them, encouraging them, or making myself look silly just to get them to smile, I would willingly do it. I just love to see people smile and it hurts me to see someone in pain, struggling or sad. I believe something as small as making someone smile, can make their whole day.

I love to work with kids, I have always surrounded myself with them my entire life. Whether it was babysitting, volunteering in the children’s ministry at church, coaching soccer, becoming a youth leader in my church, or my job at a teen center. I realized very quickly that I wanted to work with them for the rest of my life, and that is why I chose to be a Child Development major.

What concerns me a lot is the struggle that children these days have to go through, whether its broken families, loss of a parent, or no support from their family. It breaks my heart to hear the stories of those who decide to share, and I always feel compelled to do something about it, even if it is just being that consistent person in their life.
