#1 Gift, Evangelism (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I went through some difficult times with drug addiction in the past. I have the gift from God of 11 years of sobriety. God saw me through that terrible storm. I have a passion to help any and all who struggle with addiction and to change their life through God’s grace. I surrendered to my addiction and went into a drug treatment facility for 3 years. I gave my life back to God and he in turn blessed me with so many gifts I could not possible list here. I have a burning desire to reach and disciple anyone who struggles with addiction and tell them what God did for me that I could not do for myself.
I also went though a difficult divorce about 15 years ago and my ex-husband attempted to take my children. The divorce went on for 3 very long years. It was difficult to stay firm in my faith as I felt my world was crumbling around me. I felt that God had abandoned me and that I was all alone. God saw me through that painful period in my life and I believe that because of these two experiences I now am at a place in my life to share my experience, strength and hope with others to they can come to God and know the wonderful, miraculous gifts he can give.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Through my experiences listed above, I would love to encourage, help, teach and lead people through their difficult times and reveal to them what God has done in my life. If God will forgive and bless a broken person like me, his grace and mercy is something that I would never want to live without.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Seeing where my life was, I remember how chaotic and unsettled everything was. When I see people going through that same turmoil, my heart breaks. It brings all those feelings back and I just want to share with them what God did in my life and tell them what steps I took in my journey. There is nothing in the world that can fill the hole in you. No drug, no worldly possession – God will reveal Himself to you when you surrender. I remember the day when I ended up on my knees — and I said, ” I give it all to You, Lord!” If God can show mercy on a sinner and a blasphemous like myself, then I can show mercy on those who were just where I was.

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love going to church and attending bible studies. I do three bible studies at the moment. I enjoy being in the word of God. I feel that it helps me to know him better and it helps to keep me close to him.

2. I love listen to expositional pastors. I enjoy listening to how they explain the text and the history of the bible. I would say that this would be my favorite pastime.

3. I love my family! I have a husband and three sons. Spending time with them fills my heart with joy.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I like to work with infants and young children. I feel that if you have a good foundation as a child it is so important as you go through life. I was lucky enough to have that and I feel that it really helped me get through those difficult times. I would also like to work with peers that are going through some of the things that I went through all those years ago and share what God has done in my life.
