S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Lydia Davis for taking the SHAPE Assessment. #1 Gift, Teaching (75%)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am an educator in a school system currently. I also have a gift of teaching because I learn by explaining and making hard topics more simple. I enjoy the challenge of informing people of Biblical truths and what is being said.
#2 Gift, Administration (71%)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Based on Strength Finders test my core strengths are all logic based; analytical, strategic, futuristic, disciplined, belief, and restorative. With all of those being my strengths I love organizing and planning things. I am very analytical and strategic and prefer the back ground stuff of planning things. I am also an Athletic Director and there is a lot of administration work with that and I strive for excellence in that job since it is something I love to do and improve on.
#3 Gift, Evangelism (71%)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I was kind of shocked by this gift, but it might have shown up because I enjoy explaining the Bible and using my life as a living testimony. I want everyone I come in contact with to see Jesus through me and see His glory and not my own. I am not positive about this gift besides incorporating my teaching gift and sharing Jesus in daily conversations.
[H]eart
Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:
1. I love to volunteer and serve at Campus Life and connect with the high school students.
2. Reading and learning more information from books gives me joy especially when I get to share it with others.
3. I love to help out at different things in order to know it ran smoothly, but I do not need credit for it.
Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:
The age group I prefer to work with are 6th grade to 12th grade or college students.
Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:
Adolescent ministries are a concern because they need to be done well and be organized in order for the students to grow and learn and to have an impactful take away. College ministry would sound exciting and be an awesome platform for some development and growth for leaders.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
My brief testimony of how I became a Christian
I accepted Jesus into my heart when I was 5 at Sunday School, but my faith did not become my own until high school where I was put through different situations and I had to decide to hold onto Jesus or let him go. I held on and since high school I kept wanting to know Jesus more.
Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):
Middle School Intern- Hillside Church, Armonk, NY (1 year)
The River- Kids Kreek, 4:12, and Student Ministry strategy teams
Years involved (3 years)
Camp counselor & coach- UW Sports Ministry -Bluffton, SC & Montrose Bible Conference-Montrose, PA (4 years)
List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:
Being a part of sports teams in high school taught me dedication, responsibility, and commitment,
Working at UW Sports Ministry made me realize how much God loves me and because of that I then was able to love children more than I ever have before.
Being an RA at Indiana Wesleyan University allowed me to learn how to work with others and know how to handle difficult situations.
List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:
Tearing my ACL in high school lead me to be apart of my church’s middle school ministry and then allowed me to get my identity off of sports and more on Christ.
My parents living in 2 different states due to my grandparents being ill and my mother needing to care for them. They were not separated, but seeing the difficulty of death and separation has shaped me.
Being an RA and having to work with students who were depressed, suicidal, and had eating disorders was a “negative” experience, but has given me a lot of compassion for people going through those situations.
