#1 Gift, Evangelism (96%)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I constantly think about the lost and their eternal state. I know how sacrificial it was for Christ to give His life for the restoration of humanity. I am not afraid or ashamed of the Gospel. I know what Jesus did for me and feel very compelled to be a witness not just from Scriptural obligation but because of my love for Him and His love for us.
#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (90%)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe every person is under constant attack by the enemy of our soul. It gives him great joy to steal joy, peace, happiness, and hope and because it takes so little to restore those to people with just a few sincere and genuine words. We are made to be fellowship with God and being ambassadors we represent his face and his voice and it just feels good to lift someone’s spirit by allowing God’s word(s) to be spoken through me. We all need encouragement and Jesus is our greatest fan and I love doing for others what He has done for me.
#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (87%)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel as though I have been shown and given so much mercy in my life. It is His mercy that drew me into the Kingdom and it is His mercy that has kept me. His hand of mercy that affords all humanity the opportunity to be forgiven over and over is a display of His unending, undying, and unwavering love for us all. We deserved judgement yet he gave us mercy. How can you not be merciful to those by which He has offered His mercy. It is our duty to never forget how generous He was towards us and to let that overwhelming overflow of mercy to flow through us towards our fellow brothers and sisters.

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:
I am conflicted about this because I love to work with kids. I am a big kid at heart and enjoy my time with them. It is easy to demonstrate God’s love towards them through the simplest of things. I have a heart for them to know they are loved by God the father even if they do not feel loved at home. I love to counsel young adults and adults because it gives me an outlet and opportunity to share God’s love and wisdom. Jesus looked at a group of people and had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. I feel people lose out on what God has for them because they do not quite grasp His love and intimate desire to be involved in their lives.
Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:
I have never had the opportunity but I get most excited about world evangelism. I have a love and curiosity for all cultures and feel that God’s love is so universal that it can be expressed, conveyed, and received regardless of socio-economics and culture. I also get extremely excited seeing God’s power on display by freeing people from sin, oppression, and bondage of any kind. I always hurt for those that hurt regardless of what the pain is. Whether it is spiritual, physical, financial, mental, emotional, or relational Jesus has a way of healing it all.

I have spent over 10 years in the telecommunications industry in a variety of roles that range from technician, to manager, to sales. Mostly as a self-employed contractor. I have also been in the restaurant business over the years doing everything from bus boy, server, and manager. I was a Resident Dean at my Bible College as well as a staff member in the Ministry Relations Department.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian
I was going to a Bible study on Friday nights with a friend of mine for a while. I would always go then when it was over I would go to a party. One night after leaving the study my heart was convicted and after everyone left I asked the couple to pray with me to get saved.
Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):
Resident Dean/Staff Member at World Harvest Bible College and World Harvest Church Columbus, OH approximately 18 months.
I also led a volunteer staff of over 100 to serve the nearly 2,000 youth we had at the time by teaching leadership and servanthood.
I spent ten years at Agape Faith Church in Clemmons, NC:
Children’s Ministry volunteer – approximately 3 years
Teacher for the 6th – 8th graders – approximately 3 years
Lay counselor – Off and On for the ten years I was there
Served the school that was associated with the church for years in various capacities

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:
The people that led me to the Lord were very close to my family and came around very often. I had a period of years after I got saved from 19-21 that I started drinking and doing drugs again. The entire time I was away from the Lord they never treated me any differently. I was always treated with the same love, kindess and compassion as I was before. It left an impression on me to treat all people the same regardless of where they are in their walk with the Lord.
I have always been somewhat reserved and serious. When I was younger I was a bit too serious and did not know how to enjoy myself. I ended up dating this girl in college that just simply enjoyed life and herself. I learned from her to relax and not to take myself so seriously and that began a journey for me that allowed me to discover myself and truly enjoy myself whether anyone else did or not.
When I was a student in Bible college the Lord challenged me to take people to lunch that I did not like. For an entire year I did that. It allowed me to get to know people I would not otherwise know. I learned a lot about myself and these people. Through that process I learned that people are not always who they appear to be…good or bad…that we all have life experiences that contribute to the development and make up of who we are and that no one should be discounted or disregarded. We all have value and worth and we all have a destiny and purpose and our paths have different beginnings and endings that weave in and out of others people’s lives by His wishes. I am more patient with people that I do not understand and I am more compassionate as well. God used that to teach me humility, to help remove some of my own pride and prejudice, and to see that differences should be celebrated and unify rather than to cause criticism and division.
List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:
I was raised in an extremely abusive home. As a result my heart is tender towards those that have or come from a tough background. As a result of the home I grew up in I became an alcoholic, drug addict, high school drop etc. I was diagnosed with a learning disability and a speech impediment that resulted from the abuse I went through. God’s plan was very different for me than the path I was on. With His help I have been free from drugs and alcohol for 24 years now and I have gone back and earned my high school diploma as well as graduate from 4 colleges and universities and in pursuit of my doctorate degree. The negative experience of abuse and neglect that led to poor life choices created a compassion for those that society might want to write off. People’s personal stories are in constant development and only God has the the right to place the period, end a chapter, and close the book.
It was difficult losing my mother, father, best friend. It is difficult to talk about without tears. I learned that through our losses in life that God is always there and faithful. I also learned that each loss is unique in and of itself. When my mother died I noticed that my father, sister and myself all handled her passing differently. The Lord used that time to teach me that even though she was just one person she was a different person to each one of us. We all had our own unique experiences and memories of her that solely belonged to the individual. The point is that when facing a loss as routinely as it happens, that loss is very personal and unique to that individual. When someone says they have lost their mother or father I do not respond with I know how that feels. I let them know that I am sorry for their loss and that I understand how difficult it must be to lose someone that you have shared such unique and personal experiences with. If that makes sense.
I cannot think of a third experience that just stands out. I can say that I do try and take all life experiences as I go through life to either create another layer and depth to the person I want to be or to use it as an opportunity to exchange behaviors, attitudes, thoughts, and actions to be a better person.
