Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I do enjoy encouraging others! I want others to hear the gospel and know the love and grace of God through the blood of Jesus. I am no better than anyone else and no one’s sins are greater than my own. I can relate to the hurt of others because of my own life and experiences. For me, helping another person to feel better (a word, a card, a smile, a prayer) is sharing the love of Jesus.

#2 Gift, Serving (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy serving and being in the background, not the spokesperson outfront. I enjoy people but not crowds. Sharing the message of Christ is important to me and I am more effective serving and helping those with more outgoing personalities than I have myself. If I am not recognized by man for my service, I am okay with that. I have no desire to be ‘known’ or in the spotlight, teach, or be a public speaker.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This one surprised me! I don’t consider myself gifted at all in evangelism. I proclaim the gospel and what God has done in my life because without Him, I wouldn’t be here. I think I share the gospel as encouragement.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Reading and writing cards/letters – encouraging

2. Praying and journaling

3. Being with my family and being outside. I love my dog! I like to clean, too. Oh, and I exercised everyday before I broke my tailbone!

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I enjoy working with elderly people and with people that need a friend, need encouraging (troubled)

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I want to know more about the jail ministry. We have a good number of people in our church that have family members with addiction issues (substance abuse) etc. and I would like to see that addressed more in a public way. Often the one suffering has so much guilt and shame that they don\’t feel accepted and the family needs support but they, too, feel guilty and ashamed and judged so they suffer in silence.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was saved at age 24 at Trinity Baptist Church. I did not always live ‘right’ and I wandered. God was with me through cancer and many years of my ongoing battle with Crohn\’s. However, it wasn’t until a few years back I really began a relationship with Jesus. It was cold, rainy night and I was in the middle of a bad neighborhood looking for Tori. I had not seen/heard from her in several days. I was scared and exhausted. I cried out to my Savior and He was right there with me! It was then that I began to understand the truth of the gospel and that HE is God of all things; in control of all things; loves me unconditionally and truly never leaves me. He is everything and I am nothing apart from Him. Nothing that I ‘have’ is mine – everything, including myself, belongs to Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Video Team and Prayer Team – current

Greeting /IMAGE Team – past

Ladies Ministry – past

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Being raised by my grandparents – we were very poor but they raised me with love and morals. I am forever grateful for the life they gave me when my 16 year old momma could not take care of me.

Having Cancer and living with Crohns Disease. Crohn\’s Disease is humbling because it is all about going to the bathroom! Seriously, it taught me to see people as equal – or be embarrassed about going to the bathroom often … after all, everyone does it. 🙂 Cliche as it sounds, Cancer helped me to see that it is not about what you look like, it is about what kind of person you are. The body fails but the spirit lives on.

Meeting a man that loves God more than me. It took years for God to soften my heart to love and trust after my divorce. I was fiercely independent. Meeting someone that actually loves me (better) because he loves God most is an amazing life lesson!

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Having a child with addiction/substance abuse torments

Divorce and being a single mom for 16 years

Losing my job after 19 years and my retirement along with it

Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Let those tormented by addiction, hurt by life, or feel (less than) know that they ARE LOVED! And to let their families know that it is not their fault and not to be ashamed.

4. Go on a mission trip (I am afraid to fly and I have anxiety about leaving home for too long)

5.
