#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I encourage my inner-city students, reminding them that they are loved and lovable, capable of growing and learning.

#2 Gift, Mercy Showing (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
God created everyone and has a good plan for everyone, but many do not yet know this truth and are lost and suffering. I’d like everyone to come to know and experience Him. Sometimes experiencing Him is just meeting others’ basic needs like by giving a granola bar to a hungry student or by having a heart-to-heart about what happened rather than filling out a referral form.

#3 Gift, Teaching (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I teach in a public school, but I do try to include godly teaching in my teaching. We are to love everyone; I say this, do my best to model this, and share tales from other cultures so students experience the value of people from other cultures. Most recently, I teach English Language Development, sometimes to Muslim students; my students know I’m Christian and know that I’m kind to all even though I have a different faith.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I became a Christian at the age of eight, it was revival at my grandmothers church. This was camp meeting revival, the pastor gave the salvation message and Jesus tugged at my heart, how could I not accept him after all he had done for me. My aunt was one of the counselors and she led me in the sinners prayer.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Cartersville First Baptist
Personnel committee – 3 years
Nursery – 5 years
First grade Sunday School – 1 year
Vision Commitee in 2002 – 1 year

Tabernacle Baptist Church –
Personnel Commitee – 3 years – 1 year as head of Personnel – 2012
First woman to ever head Personnel Committee in Church History
Hospitality Commitee – helped with Good when church members died

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Paul & Marijon Battles came to Macedonia Baptist church in 1980 , where I was a member . Marijon was a Awesome mentor , she helped me speak up and project myself , I was very reserved at the time .

My Grandmother was a woman of Faith and. Prayer Warrior. Her example of Faith on so many issues was awesome.

My Dad was a man of Faith , his upright example was amazing he never used one curse word when I was growing up.
My Mom reads the word daily and is a Awesome teacher of the word.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

In 2014, my husband of 26 years , did a horrific act and I had to file for divorce. In my case it wasn’t hard , however I feel for people who have to file , that don’t want to .

The house that I live in has been on the market for 2 years this month, I can’t understand why it has not sold, price has been lowered etc, still not sold. It has to be Gods timing, I can surely empathize wth people in patience .

Since my home has been on the market for 2 years , it has been a financial burden. I can empathize with anyone on finances and how to make ends meet.
