[E]xperience

I received salvation during a Sunday Morning service at Bible Center Church in November of 1987. The youth choir ministered that morning; their song moved me to accept Christ.

I served as a youth choir director at Bible Center from the ages of 16-18.
I served as the Minister of Music, a Licensed Minister and an Ordained Minister at Potter’s House Ministries of Pittsburgh. I joined Potter’s House in 1995, but licensing and ordination did not occur until 2002.
I rejoined Bible Center in 2004 and have been serving in Music Ministry since then.

I worked in the day care facility at Covenant Church of Pittsburgh from 1993 to 1994 and also sang on the worship team there.

I received teaching and modeling in faithfulness to ministry from my grandparents, the founders of Bible Center.

At Potter’s House Ministries, I learned practical ministry service through the School of Ministry. (How to serve the sacraments, how to facilitate a worship service, how to conduct ones self in various church settings.)

At Covenant Church of Pittsburgh, I learned the fundamentals of worship music–the purpose, the target and how to flow in worship.

I experienced “church hurt” which caused me to learn about the dangers of leaders taking advantage of their authority, and what some would call “cultish” churches.

I didn’t have a lot of mentors in my walk with Christ. I learned the importance of bringing others along side of you to grow them in their faith.

I grew up in a judgemental church culture. Through years of healing and learning, I’ve learned that God loves us and that we have to communicate that love to others and not condemn them.
