[E]xperience

I have never has been a time in my life when I didn’t know that Jesus loved me. I was raised in the church, from the nursery at BDBC to my present involvement at CBC. It has been difficult for me to boldly recognize my testimony because it is neither profound nor extraordinary. I recall no life-changing event, but felt the strong pull at VBS when I was 9 years old to accept Jesus as my Savior. The routine of my life did not change with my decision, but I soon sensed a greater awareness of my spiritual growth and personal sin in my life. I am a conflict-avoider and learning to face problems head-on has been my greatest challenge as an adult. Through the love and grace of my parents, the Lord has seen my extended family through some painful life events. This has given me greater sensitivity to others’ who are struggling in areas of life that others might consider shameful or embarrassing. In this, I am still a work in progress.
