Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Attended church entire life, but attended a non denominational bible church where in order to join each family met with the pastor to discuss their faith decision. As a young married person, determined that I believed in Christ but had never fully committed my life to him. Accepted Christ and was baptised. The loving example of my young wife and the exegetical teaching of the pastor lead to the conviction that i knew all about Jesus, but the personal relationship was missing. Now i enjoy a personal relationship through bible reading, prayer, fellowship and serving.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Fellowship Bible Church, Dalton GA. A/V ministry, made cassette tapes of sermons ( pre-internet im older than i thought😊)

Deacon, Elder at CFBC. Welcome desk, help with projects

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Married to one of the most giving, family oriented women I know. Deb studies scripture with a love and joy known to few.

Participated as young married couple in a small group ( not sunday school) that worked through discipleship traning that showed us how important spiritual intimacy is in a small group format.

Small group continued to be important in later years as we prayed with other couples. It forged deep friendships with the Hawkins, Lee’s, Apple’s and Gross`s.
I also participate in a bible study with Jim Ballew and Buddy Child’s who love and admire. We love many, many people at CFBC and we love our pastors and staff!

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Told by a pastor to leave CFBC when we visited to office of a pastor by appointment to discuss some concerns. Instead of offering to listen to concerns,
We were told if we had any concerns it would probably be best if we looked for another church.

Our early married life we were very challenged financially. I worked several jobs, retail sales, insurance sales (door to door😂) tennis lessons, etc. If someone is working hard, but is having financial difficulty, I believe the church should minister to help.

My father was good in many ways but he was sometimes abusive and demeaning to my mother. It taught me to do everything possible to honor God in my marriage and to put Deb’ s needs and concerns first, and I feel she does the same with me.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in the parsonage and have been versed in God’s Word all my young life, but I didn’t give up control to Him until 1 week before I turned 50, when I was widowed! Since then, I have been thirsty to know more and more about how to become Christlike in every area of my life!

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Working with Bertha Richards, my mentor, at Sequim Bible Church for 2 years. She was an inspiration to me in every area of my transition from widowhood into becoming the impassioned woman of God that I am today!

Sitting under Mike Reynold’s teaching and preaching for almost 6 years! He has taught me more about how to “live” the scriptures than any other pastor in my whole years before learning from him!

Learning from my own Daddy how to love unconditionally anyone I meet!

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Having an abortion when I was 40, and receiving God’s forgiveness, has given me a much more compassionate attitude for women who have gone through the same experience!

Being widowed has brought me a closer understanding of what is really important in life and knowing that God does have control of my life, not me!

Losing my Daddy when I was 29 has made me a much stronger person, because he always loved me unconditionally, which helps me to give that kind of love to others today!
