Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

To be really honest, I always considered myself a Christian because my parents were, until I learned that I have to personally consider and have a relationship with God. I became a Christian through the influence of other people in my church. I got to know God through powerful testimonies and the word of God.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel like I have the gift of pastoring/sheperding because I believe I am a good leader. I like to steer people into the right direction, especially when it comes to my peers. Leading others to the kingdom of God is my ultimate goal & I strive to be better at it

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (78%)

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

At age 7 I realized that I needed Jesus as my Savior and committed to follow Him. I was baptized at age 9 and have been His disciple for most of my life.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

VBS teacher and singer at Renton Bible Church 1958-1961
Lead singer in men’s quartet and singer in male chorus, Prairie Bible Institute 1961-1962
Director of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Minot, N.D. 1963-1964
Sunday school teacher, singer at East Renton Baptist Church 1964-1970
Sunday school teacher and superintendent, Song Leader, Deacon, lead singer in the Saints Alive quartet at Esperance Baptist Church, Edmonds 1970-1980
Choir member, Worship leader, Adult SS teacher, Elder at Alderwood Community Church in Lynnwood 1980-1999
Elder, Facilities Director, Adult SS teacher, elder, singer at Martha Lake Baptist Church in Lynnwood 1999-2011; shared pulpit ministry last three years
Singer, usher, handi-man, home Bible study teacher, servant leader at the Hillside Church 2011 to present

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

1. Two years of training at Prairie Bible Institute where I learned how to study and memorize scripture
2. My parents took me to church from the time I was a week old. My father was a strong example of one who practiced living what he understood of scripture. He had a servant’s heart and was gave liberally to his church, both physically and financially. He was a man of good reputation in the community and shared his faith freely.
3. Twenty five years as a Washington State Trooper. I learned how to listen and to talk with people one-on-one and how to handle crises. I also learned and experienced speaking to large groups of people during eleven years as a Safety Education Trooper.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

1. Growing up in a legalistic church and with a father who wasn’t a good parent within the walls of his own home. God has used that experience to help me become more compassionate and considerate for my own wife and children, and to be more forgiving of others in my life as well. I have used my father as a positive role model for his public live, but have let God change my heart and attitude regarding the negative things about my father that I know weren’t right.
2. I had anger problems and control issues in my marriage as a young husband. God has helped me to change my heart and actions and to become a much better husband and father as I’ve studied and applied His Word to my life.
3. My heart attack in 2011 opened my eyes to the fact that life is short and uncertain, and that whatever I can do to help build the kingdom of God on this earth I need to do now.

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I would teach a class for young adults and families with growing children who are seeking to know Jesus and train their families to follow Him.

4. I would love to be singing regularly again in a gospel quartet or trio.

5. I would like to build a large facility that would facilitate worship services, sporting activities and classes for all ages, to be used seven days a week for Christian education.
