[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My parents always took me to church very often, and when I grew up, told me not to miss it on Sundays. I started as a Catholic, until I arrived to USA, where I changed for the Evangelism. Then, I stopped at the First Baptist Church, and liked it. Since then, I am still with FBC, now Creekside Christian Church.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

One evening, while in Lima, Peru, my native country, I was living alone, and decided to do as the world does. I had a car, I had a house, I was relatively young, in good health. Then I had an idea to spend the night in a different, with more fun : go out, entertain, have a ‘great night,’ go anywhere I have never been, and make friends. Then came a little voice in my heart: “Tonight you are going to have a night like never before, you would go to places you have never been, and you would not be afraid of anything, because nobody would be waiting for you, nobody would reproach if you return home late. However, how are you going to feel tomorrow?” Definitely, it was the Lord’s voice. Obediently, I did not go to any place. I stayed home, as usual.

My Dad’s surprising death one night. I was already in bed. Everything went so strange that night, that when I look backwards, it seems more a nightmare, not a real time. Anyway, I conclude, the Lord was teaching me to be more dependable on Himself, to trust Him, and to learn how to live only depending on Him.

Coming to USA. this time alone, was a real experience in developing decision, faith, courage, being resourceful, being ready to learn everything necessary to become competitive in a foreign country, being a good citizen, obey the law, and follow the Country’s rules, and learn to protect myself.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

When arriving to the airport in USA, nobody was waiting for me, had no place to stay, nor anybody to count on for help. The Lord provided a known person at the airport, who advised me to get to Carmichael in the bus looking for the lady who was supposed to receive me. After three days, and a series of problems, the lady finally came and gave me some hints, was helpful in finding an apartment for me and left. I never saw her again, I found my first job in Elk Grove, and then the private companies, the County, and finally with the State of CA.

I was living in an apartment in Sacramento for three days; however, never checked the whole place until the last day, just before coming to Elk Grove. The back door was never secured, but was unlocked, partially open, and I did not know it.

Taking care of a lady with Alzheimer in Sacramento, one night she decided to leave the house, because she believed her boy friend was waiting for her outside. On the intent, she got stacked with her wheelchair in the porch between the door and an step. I had hard time to free her and bear her protests for not letting go outside. Besides, she enjoyed going to the kitchen and taking every kitchen aid and cutlery out of each drawer and setting all on top of the counter. Next day, I had to put all in order again.

Wrapping It Up

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Everyone Else After those

3. To devote more time to music, like practicing my piano more often.

4. To visit the hospital and encourage the patients more often.

#1 Gift, Administration (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It’s what I’ve been doing my whole life…always organizing, planning, being critical, and leading others with direction and structure.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am a prophet and it’s what I relate to the most, so I find it super funny that I only have 59% in that category….every other test I’ve taken has me in the 90% range for prophecy, but prophecy really is the edifying, exhortation, and counseling of the church soooo I guess this makes sense.

#3 Gift, Teaching (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I want to teach people how to cultivate a prophetic culture, kingdom mindset, and a culture of honour. I want to teach people that worship is so much more than raising your hands while a band is playing and that you have to make history with Jesus. I feel like prophets also have to relate closely with the five fold ministry of teaching as well.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. [E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

This will take like 5 hours and at least 4 cups of coffee.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Iglesia La Mision / Rancho De Sus Ninos
Tijuana, MEXICO
2 years

Hope Foursquare
Snohomish, WA
5 years

Marysville Foursquare
Marysville, WA
2 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

While at Rancho, I received vocabulary for things I’ve been experiencing my whole life (like prophetic stuff) and it really helped me with realizing my purpose + my identity.

In Mexico, I gained family and many spiritual mom’s and dad’s and that’s not something I’ve ever really had before. Community and true friends.

Being apart of a worship band (Musica La Mision) and singing with Jesus Culture and the like made me realize my dreams are obtainable but I am going to have to work SO hard for them.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Me and all my friends being fired from Hope…. so I can closely relate with people who have been severely burned from the church.

Being spiritually and kinda physically an orphan and unwanted, but my parents are still alive. Helping people find their tribe and create family and build community around them.

Traumatic life experiences have given me anxiety and depression, so learning how to find JOY has me really amped to help people overcome these mental obstacles.
