Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My sophomore year in high school I met a guy at a gas station who we convinced to buy us beer. He also said he was a dealer so we got his number. When my dealers went dry I gave him a call. He called me back explaining on how he had been to church and the Holy Spirit had really been moving. He asked if I wanted to meet up and for some reason I said yes; I was desperate. When we met up he asked if I was a Christian (and again I said yes). He went on to talk about his relationship with Jesus and it was more personal than I had ever heard. Then he asked if we could go back to his place and read the Bible together, and again I said yes (even though I really didn’t want to- God was using my people pleasing tendencies). When he read the Word, I knew I was in the presence of truth and I had to decide at that moment, was I going to keep running from a God who was eventually going to catch me or would I surrender my life to following him. I decided to follow Him from then on with my whole life.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

MAC-College Group for my four years in college, 1 year volunteering at DIG, and now presently working on staff with the Youth Ministry.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Being a part of the Blevins family when I first started attending MAC. I had people who were 100% all in with me, particularly Brian, who was my first mentor.

Learning how to lead through the College Group. I was believed in (though I had nothing) and invested in by the Valentines/Blevins to help me know how to lead and why I am leading. I learned ALOT through that experience.

ULW was a week of deep discovery and new beginnings for me to start living a more balanced and spiritually healthy life in relationships, ministry, and in my marriage.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

The first 1-2 years working on staff at MAC. Being disliked, un-supported (by the church family), and not trusted was really hard.

My relationship with Robbie. Going from feeling very close and connected with him, to feeling very unsafe and unsure was relationally very challenging. It has definitely made me much more selective with who I make myself “known” to.

The year of the Intern. I don’t know that I have ever had to practice so much ongoing patience/wisdom/understanding for someone who whole-heartedly was against me and basically everything I believed in, and ended up never seeking restoration.
