Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was fortunate to be raised in a Christian home, and I know everyone says that. Mine was far from perfect. The one constant was the one gift that I felt I had, and that was the music. It is through the music that I really found Jesus and understood how that gift glorified Him. Jesus was my constant; and He had given me that gift to draw me to Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have pretty much served in music ministry in almost every church I have been in: St Helen’s in Pearland, Holy Cross in Nederland, Epiphany in Pearland, Mt Olive in Houston, and Redeemer in Friendswood

I served in youth ministry at St. John’s in Beaumont, and Holy Cross in Nederland

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My 10th grade English teacher reading the Bible to me. Seriously, I was raised Catholic, so Bibles were not often seen.

My grandmother who taught me that love was unconditional.

Meeting my husband, who loved me for who I was, and not who I was expected to be.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Growing up in a family who went through several periods of difficulties. It made it very clear to me how important being positive and encouraging is, and how important it is to communicate clearly.

Being told that I was personally not good enough, or what I had to serve the Lord was not good enough. The first is still a struggle, and the second help me to lose religion and really find faith.

Having periods in my live where the only consistency was the inconsistency of it all. Yeah, that motivates you to try and be a solid as a rock for those around you.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. to love and serve people where they are

4. to serve in music ministry

5. to be a constant for people in a world of constant change
