S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Shelly Lew for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I try to encourage those who are at their downs. I see the importance in encouragement because I, too, was in desperate need for encouragement at some point in my life.
[H]eart
1. I love going to the gym
2. I love helping the people around me
3. I love spending time with friends who add value to my life
I love to work with people who have similar values. I would prefer working with people around my age as we can discuss about similar topics and struggles that we go through but I am more than happy to work with someone older as they can provide me with a different perspective on topics.
Church ministries that excite me the most are mission trips.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

I followed my dad to church one day and I continued going ever since. I don’t particularly remember what day I became a Christian but a turning point in my faith was in year 11 when my ex cell leader (currently my mentor) nurtured my spiritually.

Physical progress to my body when I work at the gym
Mental progress when I constantly show up and push myself at the gym
Talking and spending time with the people I love
Spending time with a friend with mental illness – it affected my mental health and made me think that i can’t/am not able to help this person. I felt quite useless, but from this experience, I have learned to be more sensitive to other’s needs.
Hurt – I have learned that you can’t trust anyone but yourself and God. I have become a lot more independent after all of the accumulated hurt.
Discouragement – I have been discouraged by my teachers, telling me that I won’t make it or I’m not smart enough for the subject. I was torn down by those statements but I wanted to prove my teachers wrong. There were many big challenges but I persevered through all of it and made it to uni
