S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Stephen McTernaghan for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
With a call to full time ministry, I have gained a lot of experience by preaching God’s Word regularly. I have also developed more confidence in my application and implemented various sermon styles, both in services and online formats.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I sense a great need for Christian’s to grow in their faith, and for unbelievers to come to faith. It is a privilege to do this through preaching and overseeing various ministries within the church that reach out to the community.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe prophecy is a gift God has given me coinciding with the preaching of the gospel. The Holy Spirit works through me, laying on my heart what the church or individuals need to hear. This can help them in their own Christian experience.
[H]eart
1. Preaching/Teaching
2. Pastoring/Leading (even though I haven’t long started)
3. Being part of the worship group in church and other ministries
I am most happiest working with other adults as the leadership team I work alongside in ministry.
Lethargy among many believers concerns me greatly (don’t get involved)
This has a knock on effect in relation to other ministries, as I get upset how the same faithful few are the ones always willing to help.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I became a Christian when I was 11 years old on Saturday night after hearing an epilogue at my youth club.
Associate Pastor from September 2019 to present in Skegoneill Nazarene
Church Board member since 2003 to present
Sunday School Superintendent/Youth Leader in Skegoneill Nazarene (2004-2019)
Growing up in a Christian home has been a big influence on my life (Tradition)
The call of God on life and my families, to leave my secular job and enter full time ministry and studies.
Most recently God has opened a new door as I have preached with a view to a call to pastor a church.
Part of a church board when a previous pastor had been doing things he shouldn’t have. The whole situation was handled so badly and could have been done better.
Backsliding in my late teens, getting involved with wrong company and doing things I shouldn’t have. This has been great to share with young people and my own children as they grow up and will face similar scenarios.
Marriage crisis in 2002 that helped shape our call to full time ministry. At the time it didn’t look good but God’s hand was in it. What the devil meant for harm God caused for good. We can one day hopefully share our story with others.
