Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in church from my infancy. I enjoyed going to church and became aware of my sinful nature when I was about eight. I began asking questions of my parents and Sunday School teacher. I walked the aisle as a new believer in April 1976. I don’t have an amazing story of major change in my life. I grew in knowledge of Christ and became more vocal in sharing my faith as I grew older.
I know that Christ is my savior and my helper. He has carried me through several situations in my life when I have literally felt worthless and suicidal. Knowing that he was with me, even in that dark pit, gave me the will to keep moving forward.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I worked as a youth minister at 1st Baptist Church, Winchester for a year and a half. I had 80-100 regular teenagers to plan activities for spiritual growth, fellowship and just plain fun. It was an exciting part of my life.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I really enjoyed working with the youth in Winchester. I feel like I made a positive influence on the lives of many of those youth. Teaching and disciplining them made me a better, more devoted follower of Christ.

I have a masters in school counseling and gained much insight into being empathic toward those around me. In helping other people, I felt like I became a better person.

When I found out that I was bi-polar, it answered many questions about decisions and actions from my past. Getting on the right medication has improved my outlook on life and helped me be more receptive to those with mental health issues.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I used to be a cutter and would cut myself as a pressure release in times of high anxiety. I’ve learned better coping skills to use when I experience times of high anxiety. I can relate to others that use this coping skill and help provide other options.

I have experienced the loss of reality and have hurt myself. One time in a very public manner which included job loss and had legal repercussions. I can relate to those who don’t feel worthy because of a prior action and can assure them of God’s unfailing love and forgiveness.
