This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love helping other & giving of my time to make sure things happen & run smoothly. I enjoy being involved but I don’t have to have the “light” on me.. I’m ok behind the scenes or taking the lead in getting something done when needed.

I believe that walking beside someone in a time a crises is a great comfort. Listening, praying & talking with them with out judgment & showing love is what we all need to get through this life. Too many people find it easier to judge & direct than to listen & love. I believe change comes through love & time.

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. My relationship with God is the most important. I’ve learned that He has to come first because nothing else works right when He doesn’t. Without my daily Bible Study & prayer time my days don’t go right. I enjoy my time in God’s word & my prayer time with Him; He gives me peace & contentment regardless of what is going on .

2. My biggest joy is my grandson & my family. I love spending time with Kaleb; helping him to learn, appreciate what God has given us & to have fun with this life we have. .

3. Discipleship/Bible study groups. I love meeting & discussing God’s word, how it applies to our lives & what is going on with us. I thing it vital that we have spiritual friends we can talk with, pray with & be honest with about life… our celebrations & heartaches. Too many times it’s all superficial & uncomfortable to get up close & personal. But we’re called to bear each others burdens, to pray for one another… it we’re not truly being involved with each other, we can’t do this. Life is busy & hectic but if we don’t take time to truly get to know one another I think we are missing out on blessings God intended for us to have by lifting each other up.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Kindergarten-elementary age children, elderly that need help with errands or home projects; women’s ministry…for me it’s important that we, as women, are connected & severing each other. We’re good at giving & doing for others; but not too go at letting other do for us.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

There seems to be a lot of homelessness in the area so maybe a clothes closet .we all have clothes we donate so maybe we could just bring them to the church for families in need or possibly connect with a poor, disadvantaged neighborhood to minister to; provide transportation to church, spring/fall cleanup for yards or minor house repairs..

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I’ve been a Christian most of my life, but the past 10 years or so God has really been working in my life, changing my direction, motivations, desires. It’s been amazing how my heart & direction has changed and I have a deeper desire to be His ambassador, follower & helper.

Becoming a Real Estate Agent. I learned that I’m able to present to people and provide information , guidance & resources to help them make important decisions

Being a Stephens Minister. I’ve experienced the importance of walking a long side someone in need. How it’s important to develop listening skills and how just be there for someone can make all the difference in the world by sharing God’s love and compassion.

Becoming a mother and grandmother. Seeing how love changes & impacts someone.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

When my son came home from Iraq with PTSD and substance abuse issues. Learning that I can’t fix everything and trusting completely in God to protect him & help him .

Hurricane Katrina. Personally experiencing such devastation & loss opened my eyes and heart to true compassion & genuine care, concern and help from strangers.
