S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Talynn Shahan for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I have always been raised in church as a child but it wasn’t until my life got so unbearable that I truly found God.
CLC- Rolla, MO, coordinator, secretary, youth leader- 2009-2012
Marrying my husband- he is my battle buddy in life and we have had nothing but hardships lately and I know we always have each other’s backs.
My children- they have taught me the meaning of life and have opened my closed off heart and filled it with so much love and taught me it was ok to love again.
My health- I’ve had multiple issues arise but nothing that has taken me down and out.
I was a homeless pregnant teenager who found refuge on the floor of a Mobil home of people I barely knew. I learned by keeping my child I was choosing a very hard road but I knew God would provide and keep us safe. Today he is almost 13 and an amazing athlete with a heart of gold.
A divorce that got so bad my life was in danger by an attempt towards me and the court ruled despite me being a good mother, I had no pull in this small town that I lost most custody of my kids because I chose to relocate out of state. I had to relocate for safety and health reasons but the court didn’t see it that way. Again small town and no pull. I found my strength in myself and with God. I have still yet to understand why I have gone through this pain but I have faith in him that he will comfort me and give me peace.
Depression/PTSD – I fell so hard after the courts ruled the new custody split and after the trauma of it all. I was so angry with God and believed he abandoned me and was punishing me for the divorce. But I found my strength in him again. I believe my suffering is a notch on my belt to help people that are so far in the depths of their own hell and believe there is no hope.
