[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Standing in the gap for others and with others by praying, conversing, just being available.

2. Advocating for others who cannot do it or are unable to do it for themselves.

3. Gaining a higher learning about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and my (mankind’s) responsibilities to our Heavenly family.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

35 and up…women.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Church ownership for GSN. We should buy the buildings where we are located. It’s not important to be seen. it is more important that we are felt within our community. If the current businesses close due to white flight we have members who are willing to set up shop. With God who is for us who can stop us.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I am a survivor of the 93 bombing, a serial rapist although I jumped from a moving car and avoided being attacked and 9/11. I fell apart and the Holy Spirit compelled me to go to Allen AME with Rev. Flake in Jamaica, NY where visiting Pastor was preaching on “Out of Chaos”. I got saved although I was baptized at the age of 12 in the Catholic church and was raised catholic.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

COSA Committee on social action at Allen AME in Jamaica, NY (2 yrs). Choir and greeter at VOG under Pastor Paul and Sharon Dean in Plainfield, NJ (6yrs) and Praise Team (8yrs), Prayer Warrior and Outreach (Pantry) (1yr) at GSN/

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

In 2002 prior to joining Allen AME while in SC receiving treatment for injuries I suffered in 9/11 a nurse brought me to her church. Senior Pastor Mike Lewis prayed over me but not before asking to promise him to consider my salvation. I keep my world although it took a year and the pull of the Holy Spirit.

I was walking along in NYC when a voice said I want you to sing in the choir. I said but God I don’t know any songs and we don’t have a choir. That same week my church which was only small enough for a Praise Team said we are starting a choir. I took voice lessons and auditioned.

We had moved to PA and I was still traveling back and forth to NJ to attend VOG I prayed. Pastor Sharon keep mentioning this beautiful church in PA. Finally I listened and visited the church. It was GSC but still to far for me to travel. The same day I visited the Bible class for E Stroudsburg, PA at N5th street was mentioned which is 15 minutes from my house.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I was a teenage mom and a high school dropout.

9/11

Each of my churches taught me something different. Greater Allen AME salvation., VOG how to pray and Greater Shiloh how to worship.
