Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

I was in the fourth grade in Amarillo, Tx when I made the decision to ask Christ to be my Lord and Savior. I was baptized at ? Baptist Church where we attended and were members. I grew up in a Christian family. My parents and my mom’s sister were instrumental in my Christian upbringing and leading me to Christ. Learning and following Christian role models in my family. My father and mother. My aunt who lived in another town from my family. She was a great influence to me and my brothers during the summer months we spent with her every year during our grade school years. She was a Sunday school teacher and worked in vacation bible school every summer and we were right there with her. She read us bible stories and taught us bible songs and gave each of us our very first bible. My father in law had a great influence on me as an adult. He was a lay minister full of Christian love and wisdom and values. He baptized our son.
I attended a Walk to Emmaus in Lubbock, Tx in 1998. it was a 4 day Christian Retreat that one of my best friends sponsored me to attend. It took me to the mountain top where I learned just how much Christ loves me. It was truly life changing. It lead me to sponsor my son, my daughter in law, my daughter and my mother. Many blessings experienced by us all. I will never forget it.
The birth of my son, my daughter, my granddaughter, and my grandson. The most beautiful precious gifts I have ever received from my Lord. They have each shown me a new kind of love. I have shared Christ and Gods love with each of them. Just having them in my life has made me want to be a better person.
I was in a relationship with an alcoholic who was physically, emotionally and mentally abusive to me. Without going into detail I can say these were the worst years of my life. But God rescued me at just the right time and put me in just the right place and provided just the right help for me and the alcoholic to heal us both and heal our relationship and set us in a new place to start over. I am who I am today because of this very dark period in my life. WE wouldn’t be here if not for the grace and mercy of our heavenly Father. This I will never forget . This has definitely given me compassion and hope for others who have been in this same situation.
The death of my mother. She suffered for 3 years , bedridden in her home with my dad taking care of her every need. At the time they were both in their 80s. it was a very difficult time in all of our lives, watching her slowly dying and my dad giving every ounce of his energy to her He was the epitome of love. Dad asked for no help, except for home health that came every other day and Hospice. When we kids were there he only wanted us to talk to her. Sometimes she couldn’t speak and a time came when she didn’t know us but every time we talked of how much we loved her and we all think she understood. Why God kept her that way for so long…it seemed to us…we don’t understand. But without a doubt we know where she is and that she is no longer in pain but in the presence of her heavenly father. We are thankful for this assurance. This death, being so close to me, makes heaven a more real place, and helps, or adds to my belief, that I am not afraid to die and look forward to the day we will be together again, forever. what do people do when a loved one passes and they don’t have this assurance? I have compassion for those who don’t know….
I am blessed by the positive and the negative experiences. I’m sure there are more negative ones, but these are the biggest two so far in my 67 years of life that I feel have shaped me into who I am today. I am truly blessed.
