S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Diana Brown for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Encouraging and lifting others up brings so much joy! Especially when its Spirit lead and what the other person needed in that season. It is also something that I am usually longing for from others but find encouragement in doing it for others.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
Grew up in a Christian home and understood what Christ had done for me at an early age, but did not make him Lord of my life until I was in high school. I continue to struggle with control and fears but am so grateful for His grace and His Spirit who gives me the confidence of whose I am and the relationship that allows there to be Freedom vs Bondage – Righteousness vs Shame!

Church Split in high school. Many families leaving my home church was really hard but also helped define the idea of commitment and relationship beyond Sunday mornings.
My relationshop with my husband prior to marriage was difficult becsuse we made it that way. We lied and took other close relationships for granted and it cost us a lot. I was asked to step down from Church leadership, close friendships were hurt and almost lost but most importantly I lost my understanding of Gods role in my life. I took control and allowed my flesh to lead rather than Him and his word! Thankfully my husband took the lead and challenged us both to repent and turn back to the Lord and after a lot of time and work relationships were restored and the opportunity to rejoin leadership was given. Only by the lords grace!
Confrontation with a fellow volunteer did not go as planned! Assumptions were made and harsh words were shared which lead to having a more serious meeting. Thankfully things were resolved but it was a very hard situation and one I would rather never have to deal with again!
