#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Because my whole life I have been around people who lived with disabilities. My first friend in the world was an old Man I called Johnson who lived next door in a Wheel chair. I would run over to his house and yell Johnson Johnson let me in, so I could crawl up on his lap and have a conversation with him. I have never looked at peoples outside shells, only at their spirits. We are after all Spiritual beings having an Earthly experience. God has blessed me with this ability because he wanted me to be able to see past all the flaws to the human side of people. I am so thankful for this Gift.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
At the age of Four years old I was placed at the very heart of Evangelism because my parents moved to a house beside Vennard College. I grew up learning all about people from all over the world. Then got to attend there for two years straight out of high school. God has blessed my life and my paths long before I became a Christian, predestined with word of knowledge before I gave my life to him.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe God gave me the gift of encouragement at age ten when God gave me word of knowledge that I would be a counselor. I already would sit and listen to people so it was a natural ability. Bringing out what is already in the spirit of the ones I meet brings me joy. Giving a smile to ones with no smiles. That makes my life worth living.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love people. I love seeing them happy and contented with smiles on their faces.

2. I love animals. The unconditional love they give restores my soul, when live lets us down, they lift us back up.

3. I love my son and I only want his happiness in Life. I want him to find his passion in life, and for him to find contentment and healing with Gods Love from all the damage addiction has brought to his life. I want him to use all of that for testimony for Gods service.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

When I was working as a counselor I worked with teens and I loved it. I wrote two Teen books that I still need to try to get published. I want to start writing again. willing to help in any areas needed. I want to begin to volunteer where I can when I can. I can be shy at first, but I warm up fast. I do public speaking believe it or not. I have sat on boards and been a speaker in front of 250 people. I am just looking and waiting for what God wants for me to do.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I don’t really have concerns. I’m excited at the recent fire/holy spirit growing in our Church! I have prayed over the Church for a long time and its and exciting time right now! Praise the Lord!

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I went to Chapel at Vennard College with Sandy Harris and her Mother and went to the Altar with them and was saved at the age of 14.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

In 2002 I was attending Jubilee Church in Oskaloosa. I had been through a long ordeal with a man I was called by God to intercede in his life by word of knowledge at the age of ten to stop. I won’t go into the details of that, but after that was over, I continued to attend that church, and God blessed me by healing an injury I had from the year 1994. While a minister names Brian Zhand was there, and I was praying in spirit, I saw a vision and began feeling energy flow through me. My left ankle had not bent for seven years. I had broken my tibia right at the ankle connection three inches up and had to wear a boot for almost 8 months. So my leg swung to the side and my ankle would not bend, and the muscle withered. The next morning, I was going to meet my parents, got up and felt electricity running in a 8 pattern up my leg. I pulled my slacks on and my ankle dropped down. I wiggled my ankle and was amazed, of course praising Jesus. I went back that night and told Pastor Zhand what had happened. Eventually the muscle also grew back as well.

in 1989 a routine chiropractor appointment turned into a cancer scare when they found an egg sized tumor on my fourth upper left rib. My son was only two years old so I wasn’t about to let this take me out. I asked God to give me Pease and he did. He assured me that all was going to be ok and gave me the Peace that passes all understanding. in Three weeks time I had 32 exrays and none of them showed the tumor as clearly as the one taken that day. I was prayed over at the Assembly of God Church and Annointed with Oil. I had surgery and had three half ribs 3,4,and 5 taken out, and waited two weeks to find that there was only dead cells inside. God is amazing. What should have taken well over a year to heal, took me 3 months and I was back with my baby, and going to college.

February 2014 I was walking down the hall of my house and had a word of knowledge that I was going to have a brain bleed. I had been told when I was 16 that my final days I would die of a brain bleed. I was taking my Father in Law to DSM to have a vein ablation and I had an out of body experience. Talking to angels through mind communication about my upcoming parting through a brain bleed and if I wanted to stay on Earth to serve Jesus, I would be allowed to stay and how they would help me do that, but that I would have many trials if I stayed. I don’t remember all of the conversation. It was a cold snowy day and I grew restless to get back. That night, three angels came as they said, one touched my ankle, one my knee and one my head. The one at my head was in charge and he is the only one who spoke. The seemed to be there a long time. when the touched me it burned like fire. When done, he said “That was Cataclysmic!” and it was as If it boomed out of my own mouth. When I awoke the next morning I had to look it up on google, because I knew what catastrophic meant but not that. It means a natural cleansing, a great deluge. That burning fire went in an 8 pattern up my right side from my ankle to my head all week long. this was on Friday Night that the angels were there, Saturday morning at 8:30 AM I woke up and felt the clot move up through all the way to my head and I did as the Angel told me and prayed as it passed to my head and it only hurt for a minute and was gone. That was February 8, 2014. Four years ago and yes I’ve had trials, But My Love for God has Grown So much Stronger. The Holy Spirit carries me daily.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

When I was married the first time my husband lost his job, we moved to Colorado and lived for about a month in a tiny Chevette in the middle of winter. I had a broken ankle and sold encyclopedias door to door. It was a very hard time, But I never lost my faith. These are the times where you can grow.

When my son was young we lived in a home in Fremont, I had been in deep deep depression and had to finally go on ssdi. our furnace had gave out and we had went part of one winter with it not working well and were going into another one with it not functioning well. we were going to a church we we approached the pastor about it and asked for help, but got no response. We had tried to get help from the county but since we lived in fremont we didn’t qualify. Some of the other church members helped us with electric warmers. We got by, Im not a complainer. We used the oven. Eventually we got another loan added on to my house and got a new furnace. But I never let go of my faith. never blamed the church or the pastor. These are the things for God to decide. I just kept on Loving God and waiting for him to help me.

my son was horribly bullied where we lived in Fremont. which led to me joining a group called partners in policy making, where I went to lawmakers and learned to speak out for children with disabilities, and also led to me going on to the board of the iowa protection and advocacy which is not disability rights iowa. there I led the first ever congress for mental health at my college Buena Vista in Storm Lake, Iowa. My son was one of Gods greatest blessings in my life, a word of knowledge at the age of ten that I would have him even though I would never have my own natural child, yet I would have a son. He was my cousins son, that was born addicted. She was told also through word of knowledge that she would have a child and she would give him to me. God works in mysterious ways. This is the same child That I spoke of that I prayed over when Dan Bohi was here to break his addiction, and is now readying himself to go into treatment. Praise The Lord! These are the things God does for his faithful people!

I was seven years old and knew that God was talking to me. I knew that i was a sinner and needed forgiveness. It was really a big point to me that I was adopted by God. Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My mother died when I was 9 and my father when I was 13. I blamed God and was mad at him for taking my parents away when I was so young. I’m still upset that my parents are dead but I no longer blame God. I now understand that things happen for a reason and that they’re in a better place.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Open Bible, Clear Lake IA, Youth member and missions volunteer for roughly two years.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Getting a new family.

Moving to Osky, making new & better friends, and being a part of a fun and loving church.

Graduating from High School.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Losing my mother.

Losing my father.

Experiencing memory loss.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Missions trips all over the world & helping the needy.

4. I would love to do something artistic for the church and/or community.

5. Someday speak to an audience about overcoming loses and fears (at least when I fully figure out how I did it, :D)
